BRIDPORT

Only a short 20 minute drive from Scottsdale, Bridport in Tasmania's north-east is a popular beach-side holiday destination overlooking Anderson Bay.

Surrounded by bushland reserves, white sand, Bridport is an ideal place to relax. The town's population of around 1,500 and almost triples in summer when holiday makers flock to this seaside town.

Lilydale Falls is a 35 minute drive from Scottsdale and comprises of two waterfalls a short walking distance from each other, in the Lilydale Falls Reserve. Approximately 2km's outside of the township of Lilydale, and an easy 25 minute drive from the city of Launceston, Lilydale Falls is easily accessible by people of all ages and fitness levels.

NORTH EAST RAIL TRAIL

This 26km rail trail follows an abandoned railway line between Scottsdale and Billycock Hill weaving its way through lovely farmland and a bit of Scottsdale industry for the first 10kms and then some amazing cuttings and forests as it winds its way up Billycock Hill for the final 16km.

The Rail Trail Run and Ride is held on the picturesque North-East Rail Trail, between Scottsdale and the Billycock. The event was established in 2018 and is hosted by the Rotary Club of Scottsdale in partnership with Ultrain.

Bikes can be hired from the Scottsdale Art Gallery Cafe.

Encompassing 125km of purpose built mountain bike trails with options to suit all skill levels.

The Blue Derby Mountain Bike trails encompass over 85km of purpose-built mountain bike trails spread across the Derby and Weldborough towns. Derby lies east of Scottsdale and is beautiful drive of approximately 35 kilometres.
